After living in Vancouver for the past 10 years, Nadine recently moved to Toronto. She is visual artist specializing in textile design, illustration and photography. Nadine grew up in rural Ontario and was exposed to a wide range of art and design from a young age. Her father was a professor at the Ontario College of Art and Design, her mother a former art teacher, and both older sister’s, also creatives. Many weekends were spent exploring museums and art galleries. At the age of 14, Nadine was assisting after school art programs, teaching the pottery wheel and working with stained glass. Her love of design continued when she graduated from Ryerson University in Toronto, with a Bachelor of Design in Fashion Communications. She relocated from Toronto to Vancouver in 2012 after accepting a design role at lululemon.
For the past 7 years she has been growing her own freelance business. She supports her clients with art direction, campaign photography, branding, and textile design. She enjoys all aspects of creating and never limits her process to one medium, task or aesthetic. In addition, to contract work, Nadine is the co-owner of Huck Lifestyle, a local hat company and sells her own illustrated products through her online store. As a lover of music, pop culture and technology she is constantly inspired by people and places. Nadine’s style is often detailed, visually balanced, and grounded in a pastel palette. She is not a minimalist by nature. Floral themes and mountains are constant motifs in her portfolio. You can often find her skiing, mountain biking or horseback riding and she is often inspired by her time outside.
As a commercial designer she can work effectively in all styles and has been trained to adapt to brands’ specific needs. She designs at Toronto Studio 202 in Corktown and can be spotted at Impact Kitchen for her morning smoothie.
Please reach out to Nadine for any inquires regarding shipping internationally, collaborations or custom artworks. She is always open to working with, and making requests happen.
